Carolyn Phillips opened Fit Behavior 12 years ago. To achieve success with clients, Carolyn combines her former competitive background as a national level competitor in body building, mountain biking, volley ball, and gymnastics. She opened Fit Behavior because she believed that people would love a quiet, private place to work out where the trainers would focus on YOU. Custom programming, excellent customer service, and unique approaches to fitness are a focus that Carolyn strives for at Fit Behavior.

Carolyn is featured on WFSB Channel 3's Better CT television program and on 96.5 TIC FM's Damon Scott radio show as the weekly fitness expert.



Jared Brunswick

Jared Brunswick, ATC (Certified Athletic Trainer), LAT (Licensed Athletic Trainer)

Accreditation/Certification: Board of Certification (BOC), American Red Cross (CPR/AED)

Education: BS in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University.

Jared believes in a positive work ethic that anyone can exercise no matter the reasoning behind it, whether it is a personal injury or a lack of motivation, he will help you find a way and push you through it. He has a focus and educational background on exercise around injury. His sessions are always different and catered around your personal goals. He currently designs and teaches the 55+ Boomer class.



Daniel Granton

Daniel Granton, Certified Personal Trainer

Accreditation/Certification: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Adult CPR/AED

Education: BS in Exercise Science from Central Connecticut State University, University of Hartford Doctorate of Physical Therapy

Dan graduated from CCSU in 2010 with a degree in exercise science and is nationally certified as a personal trainer. He is currently attending the University of Hartford for his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He has a wealth of experience, working as a trainer for over 5 year with a population ranging from weight loss to professional athlete. Dan's goal is not only to give you a great workout, but also provide you with all the necessary information and tools to be successful.



Chris Angiletta

Chris Angiletta, Certified Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist

Accreditation/Certification: National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), Adult CPR/AED

Education: Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT); Diploma, Central Connecticut State University (CCSU)

Chris graduated CCMT in August of 2011 and is nationally certified and Connecticut Licensed to practice massage. He is currently attending CCSU to finishing his Bachelors of Science degree in the field of Exercise Science & Health Promotion. With the combination of his CPT and LMT, Chris’ goal is to help promote healthier life styles and an overall better quality of living for the population.



Cindy Briggs

Cindy Briggs, Certified Fitness Instructor

Accreditation/Certification: Zumba Level 1, Les Mills Body Combat, Les Mills Body Pump, Reebok Cycling, Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA)

Education: MS in Health Sciences, BA in Microbiology

Cindy says there is an athlete in every one of us. She believes fitness needs to be a priority in life, and aspires to make fitness fun and accessible for everyone.

Cindy is a former Collegiate, National, and World Champion in rowing, and has competed internationally representing the United States. She enjoys road biking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, and weight lifting.



Tony Fontona

Tony Fontona, Zumba Instructor

Accreditation/Certification: Zumba and Zumbatomic Certified

Tony has been taking Zumba since 2009 and is certified to teach Zumba and Zumbatomic. Tony Has been teaching a variety of different dance styles for more then six years, and attended many workshops with master teachers, such as Frank Hatchett, Charles Goddertz, Chio and more. He has participated in The Pulse Tour dancing with and learning from esteemed So You Think You Can Dance choreographers including Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Tyce Diorio, Wade Robson, Dave Scott and more.

Tony's unique approach to teaching will invoke feelings of accomplishment, respect and joy of dance.



Loredana Pluchino

Loredana Pluchino, Zumba Instructor

Accreditation/Certification: Zumba Level 1, Zumba Level 2

Loredana is very passionate about life, fitness and health. She believes that exercise should be fun and you should enjoy it, that is why she fell in love with Zumba. Zumba is for all ages and all fitness levels. Everyone can Zumba! She is a fun and energetic instructor with an infectious smile.

Loredana is a middle school teacher. She grew up playing sports and is a natural competitor. She is always working to reach new fitness goals.



Keka Riley

Keka Riley

Accreditation/Certification: AFAA Primary Group Fitness, AFAA Kickboxing, Adult/Child CPR, First Aid/AED, Reaction Cycling, Zumba Basic 1

Education: BS in Exercise Science with a Minor in Kinesiology, Oakland University

Keka has been a fitness professional since 1999. She teaches various formats and believes that exercise should be challenging, fun and empowering. Through her love of dance and sports, her experience as a former competitive dancer on the award-winning Energetic Salsa/Afro-Cuban Dance Team (Royal Oak, Michigan), and her Afro-Cuban background, she has created an explosive workout incorporating all of the things that she loves.

Inspiring others through dance and fitness is what motivates her to teach!



LaToya Keatts

LaToya Keatts, Zumba Instructor

Accreditation/Certification: Zumba I and CPR Certified

My Zumba class will give you a workout, but you will be begging for more. The class is very energetic and easy to follow. You do not have to be a world class dancer to take a Zumba class, but the willingness to just move your body to the music. Come join the party and I'm sure you will be hooked.

In no time at all, you will learn the moves and be doing them whenever you hear a familiar song. Learn the newest and hippest choreography to amaze your friends and family. See you there!!!



Jennifer Jude Zakrzewski

Jennifer Jude Zakrzewski, Zumba Instructor

Accreditation/Certification: Zumba Level 1, Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold, NETA Certified, Adult/Child CPR, First Aid / AED

Education: Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Diploma Dance Pedagogy

I have been a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor since 2011, but, have been a dancer since the age of four. Zumba is my passion in life and came to me after giving birth to my twins, purely by chance. After taking a few classes, I knew I wanted to become an instructor and share my love of Zumba with others as well.

My goal in Zumba is to create that same spark and energy in others that I found and love to this day, every day through the music and movement of Zumba.



Lynda Jaeger

Lynda Jaeger, Yoga Instructor

Accreditation/Certification: 200 hour Yoga Teacher training.

Education: Associates of Science Degree, Briarwood College

Lynda works as an occupational therapist at the VA in Newington. She rehabs veterans across the lifespan, restoring physical health to improve quality of life.

Lynda is passionate about developing a mind-body connection to live life to its fullest. She is a distance runner who feels yoga and running naturally complement each other.

Ashley Leffard

Ashley Leffard, Front Desk

Education: Graduated from Newington High School in 2010 and is currently a sophomore at The University of Hartford as a Radiologic Technologies major.

Ashley will greet you and encourage you to participate in all the fun activities Fit Behavior offers. Ashley herself is very passionate and interested in fitness and taking care of the body. She believes that a healthy fulfilling life involves happiness and much can come from being active and taking care of ones self.

She was an all conference field hockey and tennis player in high school as well as an all-state academic field hockey player and she continues to stay active and run.
